Draymond Green Reveals Thoughts On Chris Paul’s Role

During the 2023–2024 NBA season, the Golden State Warriors are attempting to capture a second title. It won’t be simple to get around the Western Conference, though. In order to improve their guard depth and add a significant veteran, Golden State added Chris Paul during the offseason.

But since joining the Warriors, Paul’s main plot revolves around whether or not he will start. During NBA Media Day on Monday, Draymond Green discussed the subject, according to the Warriors on NBCS.

“Last year, we did have the league’s top starting lineup. You cannot dismiss that, Green admonished. “However, you can’t discount the fact that Chris Paul is Chris Paul; you must consider all of that. After taking all of that into consideration, I am a basketball player, not a coach, so it is not my responsibility or role to figure it out. What I do know, however, is that whatever is best for this squad will occur.

In the NBA, Chris Paul has accomplished a lot. He hasn’t succeeded in winning a championship though. He could have his best chance to do so right now.

Yes, the West is loaded with competitive clubs like the Denver Nuggets and Phoenix Suns. However, the Warriors have an advantage due to their NBA Finals and postseason experience. Thanks to the leadership of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, they will be well-prepared for the important games.

The Warriors must determine whether or not CP3 will begin right away. Curry and Paul together in a two-guard set might be effective. As a powerful three-point shooter, Steph would fit in just fine as shooting guard.

Paul is also among the NBA’s top managers. He could therefore serve as Curry’s backup point guard and direct the second unit.

It’s crucial to note that the Warriors’ lineup for Opening Night is subject to change. Steve Kerr will undoubtedly make changes even if Paul doesn’t start the first game of the season. Golden State has the entire season to work it out because they will make the playoffs.

The Warriors will take all necessary measures to support themselves in the postseason.
