Warriors introduce two new draft picks who are eager to play with the best

At Chase Center on Friday afternoon, the Golden State Warriors unveiled their two most recent selections.

It was a succinct but informative opening.

As the 19th choice in the NBA Draft on Thursday, Brandin Podziemski of the Santa Clara Broncos joined the Golden State Warriors. The 57th overall pick was Trace Jackson-Davis.

Both exuded confidence without even a touch of arrogance, which was ideal for the Warriors as character is extremely important to them.

New Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy said, “Two really productive college players who have a proven track record that shows the work they’ve done, and to bring that into the mix for us is something that we value.” “All the while they were in college, we thought they’d be great for the Warrior program.”

Especially when shooting and scoring on nearly 44 percent of his three-point attempts per game, Podziemski’s record speaks for itself.

Podziemski and Jackson-Davis were introduced to the media by Dunleavy on Friday. Both rookies stated that they would absorb the knowledge and experience of more experienced players.

“I think I’m a pretty smart basketball player, and the Warriors have a lot of smart basketball players as well, so I think it’s a perfect fit both ways,” Podziemski said. “I get to play with the two best shooters in the world moving ahead, you know. So, I’m impatient.

“Just being a sponge and able to take on everything the veterans know. They enjoy playing in open areas, and I enjoy passing the ball to him as well. We also play extremely selflessly, ” Jackson-Davis remarked.

They are both new additions with a lot of potential who will play with a Warriors mindset.

The greatest thing for me is to just attack and rip the room off, said Jackson-Davis. “When you’re in between the lines, I feel like I’m a different person, I’m a competitor,” he added.
