According to Marc J. Spears of ESPN and NBA Today, Warriors forward Draymond Green is anticipated to decline his $27,586,224 player option for 2023–2024 and sign with an unrestricted free agent instead.
“I’ve been informed that Steph Curry and Draymond Green have already met with (new general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr.). I’ve been informed that the Warriors anticipate Draymond Green will choose to forego the final year of his contract, but if he does as predicted, the Warriors will make every effort to re-sign him, Spears said.
The impact of Dunleavy’s promotion before a crucial offseason was the main topic of the televised program.
