Draymond Green issues public apology to Stephen A. Smith

Draymond Green, the star of the Golden State Warriors, took aim at ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith in a recent podcast interview.

Green had not replied to Smith’s retort. That was before the Warriors star apologized on Tuesday night for what he now acknowledges was an error on his part:

“Shaq, I was on your podcast, The Big Podcast , and you just mentioned Stephen A.,” Green said during TNT’s broadcast of Game 4 between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Dallas Mavericks. “And I said something that didn’t come out the way I said it so I want to apologize to him. I said that publicly… I was wrong for that. I do apologize.”

Smith will probably be pleased to accept Green’s modest apologies. This should effectively terminate the brief mini-feud that has developed.
