Steve Kerr gives confident message ahead of Warriors vs. Kings Play-In

After placing tenth in the Western Conference, the Golden State Warriors secured a spot in the play-in tournament. Even though a loss to the Sacramento Kings would send them to elimination, head coach Steve Kerr seems optimistic about the game.

According to NBC Sports, Kerr stated at a press conference that he thinks the Warriors can make a postseason run. Golden State needs that vote of confidence in order to possibly make a postseason run.

“I think we still have a chance to do something special.”

Steve Kerr’s remarks were supported by Draymond Green, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. During this play-in competition, the experienced power forward for the Warriors will not hold back.

Although this Warriors club has had a difficult season, they have given themselves a shot. Golden State could be able to start a fire in time for the playoffs. Although this team has won numerous titles in the past, they have a steep uphill climb ahead of them this year. However, it’s encouraging to see Steve Kerr and the group prepared to take on the Kings.

The Warriors had a 46-36 record at the end of the regular season. Many people thought the Houston Rockets would catch up to them, but Golden State made sure that wasn’t the case. On Tuesday, April 16, expect Golden State to perform at the highest level.

Can the Warriors put together a playoff run?

You always have a chance when you have Stephen Curry in your lineup. With an average of 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game this season, he’s been on a roll. When Draymond Green was in the game, he also had a respectable season. To go far in the playoffs, the Warriors will need Green, who is still their greatest defender.

The Warriors are mentally strong, but now is the moment for them to finish the job. Klay Thompson needs to step up, Green needs to be accessible, and Curry needs to stay consistent. The way the playoffs unfold is often unpredictable, so it will be intriguing to watch how Golden State manages the postseason.

Sacramento is also no laughing matter. De’Aaron Fox is an excellent point guard, while Domantas Sabonis has been an absolute beast. The Kings, who also want to make the playoffs, should play their best game against the Warriors.
