Warriors fans are angry about Klay Thompson’s comments after Pelicans loss

The Golden State Warriors were defeated by the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night, 141-105.

At the Chase Center in San Francisco, the home audience of the Warriors jeered them as they lost both of their most recent games by a combined score of 51 points.

When Klay Thompson met with the media following the game, they inquired about the jeers.

Reporter: “Klay, you guys have been booed each of the last two home games. Obviously, you’re not used to that. How do you handle that?”

Thompson: “I don’t care. You supposed to lose sleep over it?”

In 24 minutes of action, Thompson finished with 13 points, four rebounds, two assists, one block, and a shooting percentage of 5/10 from the field and 3/7 from three points.

After a sluggish start to the season, the five-time NBA All-Star has improved recently. In 36 games, he has averaged 17.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while shooting 42.8% from the field and 38.5% from three-point range.

The Warriors, who were ranked as the 12th seed in the Western Conference after 37 games, now sit at 17-20 after the setback.

They have lost their last two games and have had a record of 4-6 in their previous ten games.

The Warriors have played 22 games in San Francisco at home, going 11-11 overall.
