Warriors Make A Roster Move Before Magic Game

The Golden State Warriors have assigned forward Gui Santos to their G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors. Santos is set to play in Santa Cruz’s game against the Indiana Mad Ants at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. This move was announced by the team before their Tuesday evening game against the Orlando Magic at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

Gui Santos, the 55th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, has seen action in four games for the Golden State Warriors, averaging 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game with a shooting accuracy of 57.1% from the field and 33.3% from three-point range.

Notably, Santos has been shuttling between Golden State and Santa Cruz. In the G League, he maintains strong averages, with 15.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game over 16 contests, as reported by Warriors PR.

The Golden State Warriors have faced a slow start to the season, holding a 15-17 record in their first 32 games. They are currently 5-5 in their last ten games and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak, with their most recent loss being to the Dallas Mavericks with a score of 132-122.

Next, they will host the Orlando Magic before facing Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets on Thursday. The team has posted a 9-8 record in the 17 games played at the Chase Center.
