Stephen Curry gets Brutally honest after Warriors loss to Thunder

The Thunder and Golden State Warriors were playing in Oklahoma City on Friday night.

The Warriors ended the game with 29 turnovers and lost 138-136 in overtime.

Steph Curry spoke with the media after the game and gave an open quote (via Anthony Slater of The Athletic).

Slater: “How do you kind of reconcile what’s going on right now? Where you’re one of the most veteran teams in the league, your history is what it is, but that’s three straight road games given away late and just everything that’s going on.”

Curry: “I don’t know, man. Gotta figure out how to stop talking about it and do it. Or else you’ll be into the new year with the same problems. Whatever it is, it’s within our control. We gotta do it if we’re gonna be any type of a serious team, and I’m kind of sick of talking about it, too. Just gotta go do it.”

In 40 minutes of action, Curry ended with 34 points, six rebounds, three assists, one steal, and a 10/20 field goal and a 6/12 three-point shooting percentage.

He has been by far the team’s top player this season, averaging 29.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game in 20 games while shooting 42.9% from three-point range and 47.5% from the field.

The Warriors, who were ranked 11th in the Western Conference after 22 games, now sit at 10-12 after the defeat.
