Warriors owner reveals Future plans for Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson

Last year, there was a lot of talk about whether the Warriors’ big three of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green would eventually part ways. All of those worries appear to be unfounded at this point.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob discussed Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green’s future plans with Madeline Kenny of the Bay Area New Group.

“Certainly, we’d like Steph, Draymond and Klay to retire as Warriors,” Lacob said. “That is my goal, our goal, and I think it’s a good likelihood that’ll happen”

Draymond Green’s future with the Golden State Warriors appeared to be really uncertain during the whole season. Instead of losing Draymond Green, the Warriors made the unexpected decision to deal away Jordan Poole. Between the Warriors’ veterans and the younger members of the squad, it was truly a “us versus him” situation. When it comes to the Warriors franchise, ultimately, whichever team possesses Steph Curry will always win the momentum, as Jordan Poole regrettably discovered.

It will be a great story for the Warriors’ franchise if they can find a way to honor Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond on the same team. Rarely do players retire with the club they were originally selected for, but it appears that the Warriors will be one of those teams.
