The Golden State Warriors are leaders among teams that could land Bol Bol

Bol Bol was released by the Orlando Magic on Tuesday in the late afternoon.

In 70 regular season games (33 starts), the former Oregon star averaged a career-high 9.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.2 blocks while shooting 54.6% from the floor.

Three teams ought to consider signing the 23-year-old, in my opinion.

Who?

Golden State Warriors: The Warriors are renowned for getting the most out of their supporting cast members, but they could use more size. With 4.0 blocks per game last season, they were 25th in the NBA, and Bol Bol demonstrated his potential to be an above-average rim protector. In addition, he stands at 7’2″, while the Warriors’ roster has no players taller than 6’9″.

Dallas Mavericks: The Mavs finished last season 28th in the NBA in terms of blocks per game (3.7) and rebounds per game (47.5). Bol Bol would therefore be a fantastic addition to their bench. With superstars Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic on the roster, the Mavs are in win-now mode despite missing the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

The Los Angeles Lakers just had a season in which they reached the Western Conference Finals. Anthony Davis, a talented center, hasn’t been able to play more than 56 regular-season games annually for the past three seasons. Bol Bol would therefore be an excellent kind of insurance to relieve Davis of some of the pressure during the regular season. Additionally, last month they released backup center Mo Bamba.
