NBA Champion shares a harsh Message for Warriors

Kendrick Perkins, an NBA champion and ESPN analyst, recently made a wild prediction about the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry’s matchup with LeBron James:

“I’m done with the old news. I’m moving forward. Number one, this is why the Warriors are not a threat. And when we say a threat, we’re talking about them winning a championship. Every single season that they have Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, it’s championship or nothing for them. And as long as LeBron James is in the Western Conference, Steph Curry really hasn’t done anything without Kevin Durant when it comes down to matching up with LeBron James.”

The Sacramento Kings, who Golden State recently eliminated, were among the teams Perkins listed as being superior to the Warriors. Perkins thinks the Warriors’ streak is ended and refers to them as old news. Golden State is aiming to rebound from losing to the Lakers in the Western Conference Semi-Finals of the previous season, but Perkins doesn’t believe that’s still feasible.

The Warriors demonstrated their confidence in their ability to compete by re-signing Draymond Green to a four-year contract with a player option for the final season. The Warriors are shifting away from their two-timeline strategy and concentrating on trying to return to their winning ways. Perkins doesn’t think they can, but many analysts also agreed with them after 2021.
