BREAKING: Warriors shockingly trade Jordan Poole for Chris Paul

If Chris Paul was traded from the Washington Wizards, everyone anticipated that he would sign with a California NBA team, but nobody anticipated that he would sign with the Warriors.

Chris Paul is reportedly being transferred from the Washington Wizards to the Golden State Warriors, according to reports from Shams Charania and Adrian Wojnarowski. In exchange for Jordan Poole, Ryan Rollins, a protected first-round pick in 2030, a second-round pick in 2027, and Chris Paul, a deal will be made.

It’s a rather surprise decision, especially considering how widely believed it was that Paul would sign with the Los Angeles Clippers. Few people anticipated that Chris Paul and Steph Curry would form a backcourt, but he will undoubtedly be excellent at stabilizing units without Steph Curry.

Even more unexpected is the fact that Warriors GM Mike Dunleavey implied Jordan Poole will be a long-term member of the team only three days prior.

“We love having those guys,” Dunleavey said. “Jordan, especially, with his contract extension, we plan to have him here for four more years at least.”

More quickly and icily than anyone could have anticipated, the NBA business appears to move. Jordan Poole probably didn’t expect to be moved from the Golden State Warriors, just as Chris Paul probably didn’t expect to be dealt from the Phoenix Suns. Regardless of how the previous season ended, he was still essential to the team’s 2022 NBA Championship success.
