Knicks player wants Warriors’ star guard to join Knicks

Donte DiVincenzo, a guard for the Golden State Warriors, has a $4.7M player option this summer, which he is likely to refuse. DiVincenzo won’t necessarily depart the Warriors as a result of this, but because of their limitations, an opt-in is the most likely method of keeping him. Having said that, DiVincenzo probably cheated to get a bigger, multi-year contract and might go after it if he chooses to opt out.

If DiVincenzo goes out on the open market, the New York Knicks G/F He would be ideal for the Knicks, according to Josh Hart. Taylor Rooks of Bleacher Report questioned Hart about this, and Hart acknowledged that he has spoken with DiVincenzo. Hart did not elaborate, though, on the details of that call. The Knicks guard stated that he would still prefer to play with his former Villanova teammate, though, in that regard.

When Rooks questioned Hart about the Warriors guard, he brought out that Hart had liked a Tweet regarding DiVincenzo’s possible fit on the Knicks, particularly because of his shooting. DiVincenzo’s summer will be interesting as he struggles to decide between his desire to stay with Golden State and what is best for his career.

According to Josh Hart’s comments, the Knicks appear to be a viable landing point for DiVincenzo if he decides to opt out and explore free agency.
