Steph Curry, Wife Ayesha makes sneaky $30M move

In the Bay, Steph Curry and his wife Ayesha are relocating.

The All-Star guard was quietly moving his family into a new estate in the Silicon Valley community of Atherton as he helped the Golden State Warriors recover from a sluggish start and return to contention in the Western Conference. The couple bought the modern home in December 2020, when it had just been built, according to the luxury real estate publication Dirt. They are now moving in after selling off an even more expensive home.

Currys Make a Move

According to the news source, Steph and Ayesha Curry sold their former Atherton property to a millionaire from Singapore last fall for $31.2 million. Until this year, no one had heard of the move, according to a November 29 story by Dirt.

The couple is now relocating into an equally magnificent residence, a three-story house with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms spread across 17,700 square feet that is situated on two acres. According to the outlet, that is a significant improvement over their prior residence, which had 7,500 square feet of living space.

According to the report, the new house is stocked with amenities.

“There’s also a sumptuous master retreat sporting a fireplace, wet bar and luxe marble bath equipped with a soaking tub nestled alongside a glass-encased shower; and elsewhere is a movie theater, full seated bar and wine cellar,” Dirt noted. “Outdoors, the Studio Green-landscaped grounds host a pool bordered by a sundeck, cabana and manicured lawn, as well as plenty of spots ideal for al fresco lounging and entertaining.”

Off the Court Moves for Steph

The Curry family has recently made a few other real estate purchases, including a $2.1 million house in Winter Park, Florida, not far from the Orlando Magic’s arena.

The couple’s regular residence in the Bay Area is 4,242 square feet larger, but their Florida home is also an investment. Numerous other athletes have purchased properties in the region, which has a thriving real estate market, according to The Orlando Business Journal. The report noted that since 2015, housing prices there have more than doubled.

The couple recently sold another property, according to George Avalos of the Mercury News. A Bay Area home acquired by trusts in Steph and Ayesha Curry’s names sold last month for close to $2.6 million. They had paid $2.4 million for the house when they first bought it in February 2021, making a $200,000 profit in just two years.

The Currys’ corporate empire consists of many different industries, with real estate making up just a minor portion of it. Curry has launched a variety of additional businesses in addition to his estimated $470 million career salary with the Golden State Warriors, such as the investment company SC30 and the production company Unanimous Media.

Curry has gained some notable praise for his efforts, including helping to win an Academy Award for the short film “The Queen of Basketball” on women’s basketball legend Lusia Harris. Curry oversaw production of the short movie as executive producer. Curry has revealed a brand-new project that will bring ToeJam & Earl, two well-known video game characters, to the big screen.
