Shenseea, Diddy Working On New Music

Shenseea has announced an imminent project with Diddy, just a month after being pictured with him in the studio. She made the revelation on the red carpet at the Billboard Awards in Las Vegas on Sunday night.

Shenseea revealed to Billboard’s Tetris Kelly how apprehensive she was about being a presenter at the awards and what it was like collaborating with Megan Thee Stallion on the lead track for her album, Lick, in her first dress of the night—a form-fitting, chrome gold two-piece.

Kelly then enquired about a possible Shenseea-Diddy partnership, to which the Shenyeng boss answered, “Who told you?” with a wide smile on her face.

“You got the real exclusive… We’re working on something, I’m a person who likes to just show my work instead of just talking about it, so you just have to stay tuned, to be honest,” she added.

Wassim ‘Sal’ Slaiby, Shenseea’s manager, had inked a management arrangement with the rapper till 2021. Doja Cat, French Montana, Swedish House Mafia, Brandy, and Sabrina Claudio, to mention a few, are managed by Slaiby, a music executive.

Kanye West, Tyga, Megan Thee Stallion, Christina Aguilera, 21 Savage, and others have collaborated with the Blessed vocalist in the past.

Meanwhile, when the Can’t Anymore singer made her Billboard Awards debut on Sunday night in Las Vegas, with her son, Rajeiro, by her side on the red carpet, Jamaicans worldwide were smiling with pride. Later that night, she astonished guests and viewers by presenting the first-ever Pepsi Mic Drop Moment award to indie rock band Glass Animals for their big hit, Heat Waves, in a No Sesso-designed fur gown. After accumulating momentum for 59 weeks, the track gained notoriety in 2021 and began its journey to the top of the chart.

Shenseea, meantime, has been on everyone’s lips, both locally and internationally, after performing on the Billboard MusicCon stage just two days before the ceremony, on Friday, May 13, when she sang a mix of hits and newer releases from her debut album, Alpha.
