No one was more sad than Steph Curry’s kid that the Golden State Warriors lost their opportunity to finish their first-round series at home on Friday.
At Chase Center in San Francisco, California, the Warriors lost Game 6 to the Houston Rockets 115-107 on Friday, necessitating a close Game 7. Curry was heading to the tunnel after the game when he ran into his family in the seats. His six-year-old son Canon was among those in attendance; he was so distraught about the loss that he refused to even talk to his father.
Canon even puts his face in mother Ayesha’s shoulder and turns his head away from Steph. That’s difficult.
This was an ugly one for the Warriors, so Canon had good reason to be unhappy. Curry went just 9/23 from the field and committed five turnovers despite scoring 29 points in the loss. Houston’s rugged defense has attempted to take advantage of Curry’s thumb injury while he is playing.
As we already know, Canon loves basketball and has extensive knowledge of the Warriors’ past. The squad isn’t finished yet, but this one had to hurt. However, in order to prevent another blown 3-1 series lead, they will need to win in Houston.
