Following a 3-1 victory over the Houston Rockets in their first-round series, the Golden State Warriors are now returning to H-Town for a Game 7. The Warriors’ 115-107 home loss on Friday night guaranteed that they would need to win a second game away from home in this series in order to move on to the Western Conference playoffs. Additionally, Golden State supporters are, to put it mildly, unhappy with longstanding head coach Steve Kerr.
Kerr, who had nothing to do but watch his team get dominated in the fourth quarter of Game 6 (or, some fans would argue, did). Golden State, which was behind just two points going into the last quarter, let up a four-pointer right away and then proceeded to struggle offensively as the Rockets’ big, rangy defense limited Stephen Curry’s influence.
In Game 6, Warriors supporters voiced their opinions regarding Steve Kerr’s coaching tenure both during and after the defeat.
