Warriors release massive Jonathan Kuminga injury update before Kings game

In an attempt to extend their recent winning streak, the Golden State Warriors will travel to play the Sacramento Kings on Friday night.

Golden State defeated the Houston Rockets on Thursday to begin the second half of their season. As the second game of a back-to-back, they will now travel to Sacramento to play the Kings on Friday.

Naturally, since they acquired Jimmy Butler around the trade deadline, the Warriors have appeared to be a much stronger club. Golden State has won three of their last four games since acquiring Butler.

The Warriors will still be missing one of their main players on Friday against Sacramento, despite the fact that the new star tandem of Stephen Curry and Butler has performed admirably so far.

The Warriors declared that Jonathan Kuminga would not be playing before the game. Due to a sprained right ankle, Kuminga has not played for Golden State since January 4 and will now miss his 23rd straight game.

The Warriors did give Kuminga a critical injury report on Wednesday, even though he is still out. Kuminga resumed practice on Wednesday, according to Golden State, and his return to game action will depend on his development and level of physical preparedness.

This bodes well for Golden State and Kuminga. After returning to practice on Wednesday, the 22-year-old forward, who has been out for almost two months due to an ankle injury, is getting ready to return.

Kuminga was a vital member of Golden State’s rotation prior to his injury, even making his way into the starting lineup. He is shooting 45.9% from the field and 34.5% from three-point range this season, averaging 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

The Warriors are eager for the 22-year-old to return to the starting lineup after one of his best seasons to date, but he will not play in Friday night’s game against the Kings.

At 10:00 p.m. EST on Friday, fans may watch the game against the Warriors and Kings.
