$60M all-star addresses rumors of joining the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors’ inability to make a significant impression in the offseason has left Dubs supporters disappointed once again this summer. Despite the fact that Stephen Curry has won a gold medal, most people don’t think the Warriors will contend for a championship.

The Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic was reportedly a trade target for the Warriors last season, but as of right now, nothing has changed.

Vucevic said that there isn’t anything solid as of yet when questioned about the possible trade and the speculations including his name.

“In most cases, those are really just speculations,” Nikola Vucevic told Serbian outlet B92.sport. Maybe the clubs talk, maybe there was some discussion, I don’t know, but if there’s a call between teams, it immediately gets out and people think that’s it. I haven’t received any information that I’ll be traded or anything.”

For the Bulls in the previous season, Vucevic averaged 18.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 29.4 percent from three-point range and 48.4 percent from the field. The two-to-last year of the four-time NBA All-Star’s contract with Chicago puts him in the trade target category all the time.

All I have is the knowledge that they want me here, that I’m staying, and that they are depending on me. We could have achieved some success and there wouldn’t have been as many stories if the team’s performance had been on par with the outcomes. Since we didn’t have the season we had planned or make the playoffs, it becomes sense that people would consider adjustments and those tales would begin, Vučević remarked.

“I honestly don’t pay much attention to it because I have no control over it; I’m not a free agent, so I can’t choose.”

Though it’s unclear if the Warriors will take any action by opening night, it’s thought that they will need to if they hope to challenge for an NBA Championship.
